Winter's Tale

A love story...with miracle.

 
At first, I have another perception about the movie. I read the synopsis and thought that the story would be like this but I'm wrong. I just thought "Oh, yeah, I think it's good. I want to watch the movie.". But, it's not good enough to make me watch Winter's Tale. I'm torn between Winter's Tale and another movie, I check the movie schedule and Winter's Tale will start in just 30 minutes and I need more time to get there. So, I decide to watch another movie.
Now, here's where things getting fun. I'm at the ticket counter and I ask the staff whether Winter's Tale already started or not, and she said it's not yet started. She said probably some advertisements still going on. Probably. Then, I just changed my plan and watch Winter's Tale. Oh, I'm grateful that I watched this movie.
About the story, I don't want to spoil much. I will say this is about "love" in broader way and miracle does happen. I like how this love story mixed with miracle. First you will say "What?" then you said "Whoa.", after that maybe you said "Okay.". You might think that they are lack in showing why the two main characters fall in love and ask why this man just love this woman? If you remember then the woman already said things about light that connect people. Do I spoil too much? I hope not.
Other thing that I love is how they put signs/elements in the background and it gives us clue about the movie. For example, the horse.
In the end, let me recommend you this movie to watch. It's a bit too late but if it still showing, watch it. I know that there are movie critics that didn't like this Winter's Tale because it fails to live up the story from the novel, but it doesn't mean you have to take that, you may have different comments and you will not know before you watch it. Then again the decision is all up to you :)
