Have you heard a song titled Firework? or maybe E.T? Whether you have heard or not, you must be heard about this women, Katy Perry.

Now, I will write about her, please read it if you're interested :D

Katy Perry was born with name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara, California. When she was a child, Perry listening to only gospel music sang in her local church as a child., it's because she raised by Christian pastor parents. She began to pursue a career in music after earning a GED during her first year of high school, her first stage name was Katy Hudson, she she released a self-titled gospel album in 2001, unfortunately it was unsuccessful. But this doesn't break Katy Perry's spirit, she is later signing to the newly created Capitol Music Group, a merger between Virgin and Capitol. Adopted a new stage new name into 'Katy Perry'. She started a campaign in November 2007 with the release of the video "Ur So Gay", aimed at introducing her to the music market. A digital EP (Extended Play) led by "Ur So Gay" was later released to create online buzz and press story. This move gained an attention of Madonna, and she mentioned Katy Perry on KISS FM and KRQ's JohnJay & Rich morning show in Arizona.

She released her debut album 'One of The Boys' on June 17, 2008 and get mixed critical reviews. The album took a place on Billboard 200 in number nine and certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

On September 30, 2008 Perry released her second single, "Hot n Cold", which became her second top three single in dozens of countries around the world, including the United States where it reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as topping the charts in Germany, Canada, and Denmark.

In 2010, Katy Perry released her third studio album 'Teenage Dream' and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 192,000 copies in its first week. At the 53rd Grammy Awards, Teenage Dream was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Lead single "California Gurls" was nominated for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals with title-track and second single "Teenage Dream" nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. The album also won International Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2011.
