Girls' Generation (SNSD)


Girls' Generation a.k.a SNSD (소녀시대) a.k.a Shōjo Jidai is a popular nine-member South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. The member are Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun. They has released two studio albums, three mini albums, two repackaged album, one live album, and various singles.
Gee which is their one of their hit single holds the record for being the longest running #1 song on KBS's Music Bank, having held the #1 chart ranking for 9 consecutive weeks. SNSD also has won many awards like Golden Disk Awards, Seoul Music Awards, Melon Music Awards, and the Korean Cultural Entertainment Awards.
Girls' Generation began a foray into the Japanese music scene in late 2010 under Nayutawave Records, a part of Universal Music, with the Japanese remakes of their 2009 Korean hits Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) and Gee. Now they will be releasing their third Japanese single Mr. Taxi/Run Devil Run, which includes an original Japanese song "Mr. Taxi." and the Japanese remake of their song Run Devil Run.
It also announced that Girls' Generation would be having their own national tour in Japan called The 1st Japan Arena Tour which would start from Yoyogi.
